Susan earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City in their Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  She completed her post-doctoral and advanced fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Children and the Law Program, in the Law and Psychiatry Service within the Department of Psychiatry.

While at MGH, Susan was on staff at the Suffolk and Norfolk County Juvenile Court Clinics and held the academic appointment of Clinical Associate for Harvard Medical School. She was also a staff psychologist for five years at the Youth Advocacy Department of the Committee for Public Counsel Services where she conducted forensic and psychological evaluations of the youth who were represented by the juvenile defense attorneys, and she conducted trainings state wide for attorneys representing youth and their families.  Susan has been on staff at ACS since 2004.  She works in the Framingham and Cambridge Court Clinics where she conducts forensic and psychological evaluations of the children and families who come to the attention of the Middlesex Juvenile Courts.
