Heal, Grow, & Thrive was truly an inspiring evening as we celebrated the 45th anniversary of ACS and our work with thousands of court-involved children.
What an honor it was to recognize Rebecca Pries, ACS Founder, for her vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication to supporting children and families for more than 40 years. And simply stated, there would be no 45th anniversary to celebrate without her. We were thrilled to also honor, Dr. Judith Lewis Herman, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and award-winning author. She is responsible for some of the most groundbreaking contributions to the study of complex trauma. Dr. Herman’s message was full of hope and highlighted the incredible power of resiliency.
Rebecca shared a compelling quote from Winston Churchill that has stayed with me. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.” This insightful reflection truly captures ACS’s mission, spirit, and commitment to keep working, even in the face of failures and successes.
